Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message
I think I can help you.

Your sugars are high currently.
You say your sugar's were normal when you were walking.
It would be better to start exercising again.

Thereafter start medicines.
However, it may not be sufficient alone.

As per this descriptions, your fasting blood sugars were normal.
You never tested HbA1c or PPBS before as per your query.
So it may have been still high.

It might be of help to buy a glucometer and watch your sugars.
It would be good to start a medicine initially and increase dose gradually.
A dose of Metformin 500 can be initiated and gradually stepped up.
Watch your sugars once you start the medicines with the glucometer.

Watch your diet. And start your exercises again.
If possible, just get admitted to a hospital for a few days for perfect dose adjustment of the anti-diabetic medications.

Let us know the further sugar chartings so that we may be able to help you further.

Best of luck.
Dr Mittal
