What Causes Imbalance And Heaviness In My Head?
Describe the dizziness in detail along the points given below:
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. I will be able to guide you better about the possible cause if you can provide me more details of your dizziness like:
a. The exact moment when it all started,
b. How often and how long do the episodes last? Is it continuous?
c. Any other associated symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting or sweating?
d. I need to know if your hearing is normal. Does it fluctuate? Do you get any sounds (tinnitus) or fullness in the ear?
e. Is the dizziness true vertigo (spinning of the surrounding) or only unsteadiness.
f. Is the dizziness only when there is change of position (such as lie down or sit up)? Can you walk without support? Do you get dizzy when you turn in bed or look up while climbing stairs?
g. Is your vision clear or blurred? Is there any tendency to blackout?
h. Do you have any history of illness - ear / neck related problems or head injury? Any headaches or migraine? Any hyperacidity or recent cold?
2. Get your blood pressure and blood sugar and hemoglobin levels checked.
3. An examination by a doctor who can check your eyes for any abnormal movements (nystagmus), ears for any signs and prescribe medication for settling the dizziness.
Awaiting your reply.
Regards

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for writing back.
1. Your description seems to be more like Phobic Postural Vertigo (PPV) or early Meniere's Disease.
2. This imbalance seems to be made worse by acid reflux, dehydration and anxiety. Do you have any exposure to tobacco or alcohol?
3. A Neurotologist will be able to conduct all the hearing, central (brain related) and imbalance tests to narrow down the diagnosis.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
suddenly upper part of stomach under the chest feel that pulled in side and hold at that time short breathing if not take breath feel faint, feeling taking dry air easily and passing airline also dry.if walking (or) doing activity at the time feel imbalance, discomfort, fainting and un easyness in head and breathing.
i try to send out air from mouth that is not smelly, burning etc.
if i sit or stand with out any motion in body ,i get shaky, falling front suddenly with legs. in crowd ,narrow spaces and road crossing situation also movements are not normal as normal person react quickly, feel that pulling back, release.
while sleeping my both hand ring finger and small get numbling
2. This imbalance seems to be made worse by acid reflux, dehydration and anxiety. Do you have any exposure to tobacco or alcohol?
i had exposure to smoking and alcohol, now i quit both
Acidity, anxiety. Tests need to be done. If normal, likely PPV/Neurologic
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for writing back.
1. These seem to be more of acidity and anxiety symptoms (like a panic attack).
2. I would also recommend an Ultrasound (USG) Abdomen, Chest X-rays and a Neurologist's opinion. Lung Function Tests, an ECG and 2D Echo should be done.
3. If these are all normal, the cause is most likely to be PPV.
4. Interestingly, PPV improves with activity an small amounts of alcohol. Have you noticed anything like this?
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
