Can Pantop-D And Vertin Cause Weakness?

My wif s age is 46, Two days back my wife fainted. She was having survical spondelysis detected 20 years back, Doctor diagnosed migraine and advised a treatment which she continued for 6months after which she recovered to the extent of 90%. She suffers frequently from hyperacidity also.Now she was recommended to take two medicines in a day namely pantop-D and Vertin. Now she is feeling weekness, what may be the reason?

Hi,

Pantop D contains pantoprazole and domperidon. It is a prescription medication which used to treat gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux and peptic ulcer disease. It does this by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as indigestion, heart burn, stomach pain and irritation. Pantop D may cause unusual tiredness and weakness. Other side effects of Pantop D are diarrhea, flatulence, dryness of mouth, dizziness, headache, decreased interest in sexual intercourse, altered sense of taste, osteoporosis, allergic reactions etc.

Vertin contains betahistine which is used to prevent and treat a discover of the inner ear known as Meniere's disease. The symptoms include dizziness, ringing in the ears and loss of hearing, probably caused by fluid in the ear. This medication helps relieve the symptoms by reducing the amount of fluid. It also can cause weakness and tiredness.
