What Causes Ingrown Hair After Shaving Pubic Hair?

Question: I shave happen to shave everyday and get ingrown hair and when I shave sometimes and my hair grows back I get these huge bumps that pop up when my hair starts to grow back and I want to know why and what could this be.. it doesn't itch theres nothing coming out of these bumps but could it look like this cause I shave everyday and I'm irritating my mons pubis area??? I'm freaking myself out about this and I'm sexually active but this was both our first times and we used protection but this bump problem has been going on for awhile

I have seen your picture and in my opinion you may suffer from folliculitis. You do not have to be worry about STDs.

Folliculitis occurs when hair follicles become inflamed. It may be caused by bacteria (the most probable reason), viruses and fungi but also an inflammation from ingrown hairs.

Sometimes these bumps can turn into sores.

I suggest you take a break from shaving for a few days and apply moisturizing lotion after you shave. Try to wear cotton underwear also tight clothing can cause irritation in your hair follicles. Do not touch these bumps.
