Question: Dear Doctor, My have done electric cauterization up to 3mm to cure ingrown hair infection on face on left side. This treatment was done by skin doctor in Jan-14 but the infection has now looks like pyogenic granuloma or dermatofibroma on face. The doctor had prescribed antibiotic after treatment augmentin 1mg for 5 days which cured the infection but it reoccurred after 15 days but no bleeding . Also, since 1 month I am having dry mouth symptom on the same side and having difficulty in speaking and discomfort in mouth esp on side where cauterised, kind of pulling sensation. I have been dentist to check for any dental infection but nothing found. Kindly advise what treatment and test will be required

Brief Answer: deep infection Detailed Answer: Hello There is a possibility that the infection has gone deep and later fibrosis would have developed leading to all the symptoms. I suggest you to get an ultrasound of the affected area. This will help in finding out the exact situation and lines of treatment can be based on that. Get back to me with reports. Let me know if you have any other doubts. Thank you

Thanks doctor. Also the place of infection appears pinkish/reddish dry and size varies as it shrinks and again enlarges upto peanut size. I have applied fusidic-h cream on that place as well given by doctor.
