Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic

Dear XXXX
Burning pain in lower abdomen associated with mucous stool and chills suggest infection as possible cause for your symptoms. The likely cause could be Infective Colitis. Without thorough clinical examination it would be difficult to attribute the cause to any specific infective foci in abdomen.
I would suggest you to consult your Primary Care physician or ER for further clinical examination and assessment.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Take care

This is about what the Doctor said about 3 weeks ago so he prescribed antibiotics Nystatin and Amoxicillin which barely dented the pain. Would it be wise to consult a Gastroenterologist since these 2 anti fungal and antibiotics didn't work at all?
Brief Answer:
Consult Gastroenterolgist
Detailed Answer:
Dear Mr XXXX
As the symptoms have persisted inspite of taking antibiotics, it will be advisable to consult Gastroenterolgist.
