What Causes Itching Sensation All Over Face And Head?

Question: My daughter 22 years is itching all over especially face and head. I have given her allergy pills, oatmeal bath, put Caladryl lotion on her. Says she feels dry all over but isn't. Tong even itches. What could it be and do I need to take her to the doctor?

I understand your concern regarding your daughter's situation. This might be some allergy due to some addition to her lifestyle like contact with some new clothing, jewelry or perfume etc.

Try giving her one more pill of low dose and try to avoid any kind of allergen she might be having around her.You can also use any steroid based creams for better relief.

Try not to touch those rashes and scratch those which might infect it
Try some cold compress on rashes
Use aloe vera gel.

It should subside withing few hours, and if it does not you should see a dermatologist.

All she could think of is she used some old soap she had used before and wore some leggings she had not washed. Would that cause an allergic reaction that would last almost 3 days which it has? Do you think Benedril would work better than allergy pills? What would a doctor give her if she went to a clinic?

Probably the leggings had some allergen on it.

A sudden severe allergy might take time to subside.

If i would have been her doctor, i would have given her antihistamine tablets 7 days a week, a soothing calamine lotion and a steroid ointment to apply topically.
