Question: Hey can thyroid work with arthritis
Brief Answer:
Yes it can
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thank you for asking!
If you are talking about Hashimoto thyroiditis( the most common cause of hypothyroidim), well it is an autoimmune disease and it may be associated with other autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis.
Specifically, hypothyroidism may lead to:
-Muscle aches, tenderness and stiffness, especially in the shoulders and hips
-Joint pain and stiffness
-Swelling of the small joints in the hands and feet
-Carpal tunnel syndrome
These symptoms are seen in mild- severe stages of hypothyroidism and usually they improve within 6 weeks of treatment with levothyroxine.
Hope the information will help.
Kind regards

they haven't gave me any results in my hand they read it off to me
Brief Answer:
See above
Detailed Answer:
Well, I can understand your situation.
1) If the thyroid would be the cause of your joint pain, it should be associated with other symptoms like; weight gain, puffiness, edema at the extremities, feeling sleepy, constipation etc.
2) After the result of the thyroid hormones the doctor would have started treatment with Levothyroxine and you have to wait for about 6 weeks for the symptoms to be improved ( always if we pretend that the pain is caused by under active thyroid)..

Dr.Mirjeta

that all they gave me do you know what this mean
Brief Answer:
Hello
Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear,
The result attached include a full blood count, glucose level and renal function tests.
You should check also the iron level (sideremia) because low MCV suggests a deficit in iron which is common in females due to menstrual cycle.
Once you have the thyroid results do not hesitate to attach them.
