Can be minor capsular inflammation
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
At your young age, the pain in the knee is more likely to be due to stress related minor capsular inflammation rather then decrease in the joint lubricants.
The mild inflammation of the knee after some activity like workouts mostly subsides by taking antiinflammatory agents and mild pain killers like ibuprofen. In some cases for acute problem muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside are needed after consulting with your orthopaedician.
The cramps n the calf can be due to dehydration, muscle fatigue or electrolyte abnormalities. It is better to drink sufficient fluid and also see that your intake of electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium ) is sufficient. You can drink Oralyte for this.
You can get a color doppler done to rule out DVT.
I hope this answers your query.

MRI scan is needed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Doppler will only check the blood flow. Muscle tear or ligament problem can be ruled out after an MRI scan.
Hope my answer is helpful.
