What Causes Left-sided Neck Pain?
Question: I am experiencing twinges of neck pain on the left side and going toward my shoulder. This happens when I eat and sometimes when I'm not doing anything. It lasts a few seconds and goes away when I burp. Could this be heart related?

Hi.
I am Dr Mittal.
l have read your message.
I think I can help you.
The symptoms of the query may indeed be suggestive of a cardiac issue.
However, it may also be related to stomach.
Specially in relation to your symptoms relieved on burping.
I think you should start with Tab Pantoprazole.
If you are relieved on the medication it would suggest a gastritis related issue.
Else it would be better to test with a TMT , STRESS ECHO and if needed a Coronary Angiography.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible.
Please feel free to contact me for more information.
Best of luck.
