What Causes Loss Of Ejaculation After Colorectal Surgery?
Question: Six weeks ago i had abdominal surgery for colorectal cancer. They removed 10 inches of my lower colon. The alos did a loop iliostomy to remain for a minimum of three months to allow lower colon to heal. All tests indicate i am cancer free. Since the surgery i am no longer able to ejaculate. Currently the only medications I take are 1MG of Adivan/Lorazepam when I cannot get to sleep. Everything was working fine before. What caused this? And is this permanent ?

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
You have been operated for cancer of colon and part of diseased Colon has been resected and currently you have Ileostomy .
Resection of colon is a major surgery and the loss of ejaculation the you have since surgery is mostly due to major surgery that you have gone through in addition to psychological trauma that every patient with cancer has.
This will get resolved as you recover completely from this current major crisis .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions ,I shall be happy to help you
