What Causes Low Blood Sugar Levels After Having Novolog?
Question: I have diabetes..My blood sugar was 300..I gave myself 6 units of Novolog..I then checked it again 75..I ate something sweet and checked it after 30 min, it's still 75..My sugars have been around 99-145. Is this something to be concerned about tonite?

Novolog acts in around 30 minutes and he effects stays for 4 to 5hrs. You must take a snack cotaining carbohydrate before you sleep. For exampe: 2 slices of brown bread or 2 wheatabix pieces or a cup of milk with 2-3 spoons of oats. This will help to maintain the blood sugar overnight. MAy i suggest you to check blood glucose again before sleeping?

Thank you for your advice..I had some yogurt about 30 mins. ago.. It's at 97. I was so thirsty, headache and sleepy today. Does any of these symptoms have something to do with the Diabetes?
