What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Along With Diarrhea?

Question: lower abdominal pain with hourly diaherra but only a small amount of fluis comes out. These symptoms lasted from last Sunday night to Thursday then stopped on Friday and Saturday after I took a stool softener and had two good bowl movement but they have returned this evening with even more intense pain. I was taking a pain killer, loratab for 3 weeks prior to this for a return of lower back pain, 2 bulging discs but the pain stopped 2 weeks ago so I haven't scheduled a follow up to get the back injection that I had 3 years ago. I also take lotrel for blood pressure medicine and ibuprofen occasionally , 2 or 3 times a week. I'm going to my dr in morning
Brief Answer:
Antacid will help.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms can be due to gastritis induced by pain killers.
I would advise that you should take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with a probiotic.
Eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions. Avoid spicy and oily foods.
Also take care of your hydration.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.
