What Causes Mildly Raised WBC Count When Treating Chicken Pox?
Question: i was suffered with chicken pox for the last 2 weeks and doctor gve me strong medicine ( 1gm tablets , thrice a day for 6 days )
now am, fully recovered from chicken pox
but today i checked cbc and white clood count is 13200 ( normal range is 4000-11000)
all my other values like haemoglobin , platelet,eosonophills, polymorphs ,basophils lymphocytes , monocytes ,rdw,mchc,pltelet count , mpv , rbc ,hct ,rbc,mcv,mch are normal
olnly this wbc is slightly higher the normal range
do i need worry about leukemia ????
till now i dont have leukemia symptoms
i dont have any fever from the last one year
am taking medicines for lprd and anxiety
lprd tablet is (veloz d)
anxiety tablet is (alprax 0.25)
am very high in health anxiety for the last 3 months , very high means very very high in anxiety and stress
is this wbc count indicate the starting of leukemia ????

I have gone through your reports in detail.
Your findings indicate mildly raised WBC count.Since other parameters are normal,there is nothing to be worried about.
Leukemia is associated with many clinical findings and other parameters of blood like hemoglobin,platelet level are also altered.WBC count is also much raised.WBC count is generally above 1 Lakh/cu mm.
You should continue anti anxiety medicines.
Since you had recent infection with chicken pox,it may take 2-3 weeks for normalizing WBC count.

on tuesday (19/2/2015) i checked for cbc the values are wbc 12000(4-11000 normal range) , lymphocycte 23(20-40 normal ) rbc 4.84(4-6 nrml)
on wednesday (20/2/2015) yesterday also i checked , but the values are high compared to previous test
my values are :wbc =13200 , neutrophil =78,lymphocyte=18,rbc=5.2 ,esr =40 (1-20 normal)
am already half died after seeing this result
am very high in health anxiety , very very very high
now leukemia is in my mind all the time
do i take this values as serious ???
do i need to consult any other docotrs ???
