Brownish discoloration indicates that the blood is old. I understand that the blood seems to be coming from elsewhere but still it should be from somewhere in the nasal cavity. The mast cell activation disorder correlates directly with it. Even though you are not specifically allergic to something, the system that controls the reactions to allergies, is defective in a person with mast cell activation disorder and such a thing is often associated with nasal bleeds.
