Question: Hi - I felt nauseous all day yesterday and then had diarrhea followed by repeated vomiting, accompanied by chills and body aches. I went to bed and woke up with a racing heart - about 120 bpm. Is a rapid heart rate a typical symptom of a stomach virus, which I assume I have?

Brief Answer:
Drink much water.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

your symptoms are all in line with a viral infection of the digestive tract. the diarrhea and vomiting might have caused fluid losses and some form of dehydration. together with the worried state might explain the increase heart rate.

drink much water and let me know how you are doing. Best wishes and wish you a speedy recovery.
