Question: Hi, I'm XXXX. The several days ago, I felt numb on my right foot, while playing tennis. I thought probably I used knee support too tight. Today, I played tennis again, and it happened again eventhough, I didn,t wear any knee support. I want to ask what is the possibility that causes numbness to my right foot. Thank you

Brief Answer:
Likely innocuous and musculoskeletal sprain

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Unilateral numbness in feet after playing tennis is likely a musculoskeletal sprain which is common in persistent repetitive movements like playing tennis at the age of 52. If you dont have any comorbidities like heart problem, cholesterol problem or diabetes etc then this numbness shall pass away with slight bed rest and some ibuprofen and skelaxin.

However i would like you to schedule an appointment at an earliest convenience if the problem persists despite home remedies and bed rest after 3 days. A detailed insight of the numbness with the help of some work up and labs will clear things up and soothe the worries. I am sure there is nothing to worry about as in my whole career i have yet to see a numbness causing emergency.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.

Khan
