What Causes Numbness In Skull And Pain Down The Right Arm?

Urgent neurologic review, nerve compression?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the query,
It is not unusual experiencing numbness at the level of the skull after receiving the number of stitches you received and considering the intensity of the trauma. This could be either due to a few nerves being traumatically destroyed, or at times the effect of the anesthetic that was used. Normal sensation should be obtained after a couple of days or weeks.
Shooting pains right down the arm should be further investigated. This could be attributed to skull trauma in case it were accompanied by some weakness of muscles and reduced reflexes, in that case would warrant a brain CT scan. The fact that you are experiencing only pains needs a more critical observation, It might important to note if you are experiencing any weakness, sensational loss, headaches, wanting to vomit or not. If present, do a Ct scan. If not, the lesion should be checked at the level of the neck or the shoulder region. It might be due to a trauma or compression of the nerves around the neck, which are responsible to give the nerve supply to the arms.
A proper clinical review and neurologic examination is however required. This is crucial, if delayed and there is massive destruction, the process might be irreversible. Thanks and kind regards as I wish you the best of health. feel free asking further questions in case of need.
