What Causes Numbness On Soles Of Feet And Tingling Sensation In Hands?

My feet soles lose feeling and my hands tingle, especially driving a car for several minutes or typing. This peripheral neuropathy is a major nuisance but I'm resigning myself to it. Should I be more concerned?
Management of Diabetes and B12 deficiency should improve the symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being again here on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,here again,to answer your query.
I understand your concerns well but I feel you should not give up and think like resigning yourself to the symptoms.I know any symptom, can be troublesome, for any particular individual. However,as we have apparent probable causes here for the neuropathic symptoms-Diabetes and vitamin B12 deficiency,we can well, hope for improvement with good management of these conditions.
So,I suggest you to be on protocol treatment of Diabetes under the guidance of your physician and simultaneously, get corrected for B12 deficiency.Neuropathic symptoms will improve gradually.
Meanwhile,anti-neuralgic medicines should be started like pregabalin/amitriptyline/duloxetine along with methylcobalamin supplementation. These medicines should bring significant relief from symptoms.
Hope that you must be having some follow-up questions, which I shall be glad to answer.
Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
