What Causes Numbness, Tingling And Swelling In Limbs While Treating Rhabdomyolysis?
Question: Hi Dr. My daughter has had rhabdomyolysis before which she recovered from. She is 21. Last night she woke up with numbness, tingling and swelling in her arms and legs. Her hands and feet were cold to touch and her skin had a blue tone to it over her whole body. She had pain up her arms and in her legs. Today the blueness has gone but other symptoms are still with her though not as severe. Am wondering could this be connected to rhabdomyolysis. She is a Jockey, very active. She is taking medication to detox her liver.

As for the rhabdomyolysis question, no I don't think the two are related, especially if the rhabdomyolysis had a known cause such as trauma
