Brief Answer:
For how long has this been going on?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this oily liquid that comes out before your stools. This is probably mucus or may represent incomplete digestion of fats. If this is a recent observation, I will recommend that you monitor again to make sure it is persistent before we go on investigating. Most patients who report similar symptoms often witness spontaneous resolution with no need for further aggressive treatment.

If this fails to resolve within a week, I will recommend we start with a stool exam. Also, you just turned 50years old and it would be nice to start thinking about your colonoscopy schedules.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Keep me updated within 3-5days on how well you are doing.
