If started recently, acute episode of arthritis should further evaluate...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through the medical history of your daughter and am sorry for the situation she is going through.
You say she is taking Trileptal for BP since 10 years now. While, now, she is complaining of pain in lower extremities along with redness and pain in legs, shoulders and spine with physical strength getting weaker.
Altogether, if the painful scenario started recently, then, it's not related to Trileptal or BP, but to an acute illness. If she has suffered of angina, then, rheumatoid arthritis is suspected.
By the way, can you please send a picture of the affected (red) area of lower extremities?
Further tests are required including:
- antistreptolisin
- CRP
- X-ray
- neurological examination
- complete blood count
- urine analysis
After analyzing the reports, we can decide for best treatment strategy.
Anti-inflammatory meds are advised for now like ibuprofen or acetaminophen for the pain.
Hope this helps.
