Detailed Answer:
Brief Ans-?Gastric Paresis with Contused Chest .../ Under Assessment.
Hello there, Warm Welcome. I appreciate your trust in HCM.
I have thoroughly reviewed health query you raised, and well realize all of those concerns,
With the history of 2 days of post-Contusion, you are experiencing lots of bloating/ burping.
Which could possibly due to post-traumatic reflux Gastric paresis.Precipitated with consumption of NSAIDs, which induces acid reflux and lot of gases post antacid liquids.
Remedy that i would suggest is,
Just Stop Routine food intake for next 2 days,If need be you may get hospitalised to be observed by ER doctors.
Injectable Pain killers like Dicofenac would be needed to control chest pain
Be on Liquids only with very least volumes strictly.
Check up if the complaints subside / or increase.
If no relief - please go for Second Opinion from Surgeon- Who would get the Chest X-ray -to rule out fracture ribs / hemothorax / pleurisy
and Standing X-ray abdomen with both domes of diaphragms, to rule out post- traumatic rupture of duodenum-which needs to be ruled out.
Clinically examination to check for Fracture ribs- as it hurts on coughing.
Contused chest is preventing sleeping on right side.
Chest Strapping from Surgeon would relieve it.
Hot fomentation- and Tab ibuprofen x 3 times a day -after meals.
Tab PPI- like pantoprazole with domperidone- to reduce acid reflux and control the motility of upper GI,secondary to post- thorasic trauma.
Impression-
Right Thorasic/ Chest Contusion with Gastric Paresis with fracture ribs / or contused ribs.
Rule out any Upper GI (Du or intestinal )perforation -from sudden Chest Contusion.
Consults from Surgeon with Second opinion from Chest Surgeon would resolve your health issues completely
I hope that by following above said guidelines and care taken by ER Surgeon, you would come out of this emergency successfully.
Welcome for any further query in this regard.
Good Day !!
