Posted on Wed, 7 Oct 2015
Question: I was stung on the hand about 15 hours ago. I have taken 100mg of Benadryl, and used ice. The swelling has gotten worse and is very painful. I haven't slept all night and have no problem breathing. What else can I do?

Brief Answer:
add an anti inflammatory pain killer

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

You should consider using an anti inflammatory pain killer unless there is a particular reason you cannot use this class of drug.

This includes medications such as ibuprofen, naproxen, cataflam. These help with inflammation and pain and will work with the anti histamine.

You should continue the benadryl along with one of these anti inflammatory meds.
Continue icing as well

If the swelling does not resolve, it is possible that you may need a steroid from your doctor

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
