
What Causes Pain And Swelling On Thumb?

Question: My left thumb is swollen on the (right side of the thumb). The pain has become excruciating. I have taken Aleve and Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours and there is no reduction of swelling. It feels as if the thumb is about to burst. What should I do. This started on Thursday afternoon is getting progressively worse.
