What Causes Pain In Hip,hand And Foot?
Further details are needed as following...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your question and understood your concerns.
I'd like to have more of your medical data before giving final conclusions. The pain you are having in your hip, hand and foot are suggestive for rheumatoid arthritis. However, I need to know:
- do you feel that these joints stiffed more in the morning?
- when did you notice such pain/stiffness (recent days or more than 6 weeks ago)?
- have you noticed any changes on the soft tissue around the joints (nodules)?
- did you run any testing so far (rheumatoid factor? X-ray)?
- do you have any previous history of angina? trauma? injury?
Anti-inflammatory medications are advise to reduce inflammation and pain.
Looking forward to have the requested data in!

am a sickling AS and Blood Group B- it about 5 Months now the pains goes and came this started when i was back from jogging
Further diagnostic tests&physio-therapy advised...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for providing further data of yours.
Ankylosing spondilytis (AS) is explaining your symptoms taking into account your age of 25. AS can be shown off around the early 20s.
As you are not providing any report of tests you did so far, if I was your caring doctor would advise to run:
- complete blood count
- ERS and fibrinogen level
- CRP
- X-ray
Apart pain killers, physio-therapy can also help reduce the swelling and pain.
Hope it was of help!
Let me know if you have further queries!

Following detailed....
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Ok, then, once again, confirmatory tests include CRP and ERS together with X-ray.
If your sickling AS test resulted positive, it means that you carry both genes, A (producing normal hemoglobin) and S (sickle cell hemoglobin).
You are considered as a carrier, and usually, carries won't develop the disease (sickle cell anemia - SCA) but another condition called as "sickle cell trait". However, you have great chances to inherit the S- gene to your children.
If your concern is regarding the symptoms of SCA, I can say that as long as you are not inheriting both XXXXXXX genes, you won't develop the disease.
However, there are rare cases, when hemoglobin can turn to sickle hemoglobin, for example after an intensive exercise.
In your case, the testing resulted positive only for sickling AS hemoglobin and not for XXXXXXX then, the pain you are having is not related to sickle cell disease.
However, as you are an athlete, I'd advise to keep following up with hematologist on yearly basis.
To my opinion, your pain is mostly related to ankylosing spondiloarthrosis and not to developing sickle cell disease.
Let me know if I can be of further help!

Due to inflammation of vertebral joints....
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
The pain you feel on those joints (shoulder/hand) is because they are inflammed. When inflammation occurs, there are some chemicals produced locally in the joints structures that would cause pain.
There are many factors influencing the on-and-off pain including weather conditions. However, most of the time, no known cause is known to trigger the pain.
All the best!
Yes,it will go away...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Yes, it will go away. Take anti-inflammatory drugs (ibuprofen or ketoprofen) orally and locally. Physiotherapy can also help.
Fish oil and multivitamin supplementation can also help.
Wish fast recovery!
