When I sit down it hurts real bad. It is not my tail bone or hip joint. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia. I take pain medications which this is not helping. If I am off my feet it is ok. But sitting on it aggervates it. I am not diabetic or have thyroid problems. This started around 3 months ago. I have arthritis degenerative disease in my back and neck. It makes my limp when I walk. Thank you. Doctor
Brief Answer:
You need to get MRI
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If there is pain during sitting and when you walk you limp, this is suggestive of lumbar spondyltis. This is arthritis of spine. This also causes nerve compression so pain radiates on butt.
So I have following suggestions for you.
1. Get spine MRI to see what extent of disc herniation and nerve compression is present.
2. Tablet Pregabalin M one daily at night time.
3.Tablet Etova MR one daily or twice according to pain severity.
4. Physiotherapy and Back muscle strengthening exercises.
5. you can wear lumbar supporting belt also.
6. Hot water fomentation and Volitran ointment also helps.
I ope these steps will help you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions.
Thanks
