Brief Answer:
the pain is due to a muscle strain
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the follow up,
From your description, the pain is due to a muscle strain, which happens due to inflammation following an undue stress to the muscles attached to the elbow like biceps and triceps. The pain will resolve once the stress is avoided till it heals.
I would suggest you to do the following:
- apply ice packs over the area for a period of 10-15 mins twice daily
- apply a compression bandage over the area so as to restrict any movements.
- avoid any sort of stress to the affected arm for a while
- you may make use of an arm sling for better support
- can take Tab. Ibuprofen or Tab. Lyser- D for pain when needed.
There is nothing to get worried about, it will resolve once further stress to the area is avoided.
Hope this helps
