Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Your symptoms do not seem to be related to any cardiac disorder.

A musculoskeletal issue (inflammation or costochondritis) could be the cause of all this clinical scenario.

Is the pain triggered by body movements or respiration? This would be another argument in favor of a musculo-skeletal pain.

I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- a cervico-thoracic spine X ray study to exclude possible chronic degeneration of the backbone that may lead to irradiating chest pain
- inflammation tests (PCR, sedimentation rate, complete blood count).

Meanwhile, I would recommend trying ibuprofen or acetaminophen for the pain. If the pain is relieved by these drugs, this would confirm the musculoskeletal origin of the pain.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
