What Causes Pain On Top Of Foot Near The Toes When Pressure Is Applied?

default
Posted on Mon, 23 Jun 2014
Question: Top of foot near the toes hurts when pressure applied, especially when walking in shoes. Been hurting for the past week, and yesterday a strange squishiness started it feels like a pocket of liquid or something that squishes, not audibly but it feels like some squishing definate pressure from inside the foot if I bend it upwards. Not sure if I'm describing this well.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that by the history you give it looks like a mechanical problem . I would advise you to wear open slippers till it heals plus you can take an antiinflammatory like naproxen if its hurting too much . It will subside on its own .

If it does not heal then a possibility of gout needs to be explored . Get your uric acid levels checked for it also affects the joints of big toe.

Take care.
