Question: I get acne that forms under the skin and doesn't form into a whitehead or blackhead..been getting these bumps for years and they don't go away. I take Spironolactone which has helped keep it under control, however I've had the same small bumps for years. I got one on my cheek over a year ago and I picked and squeezed at it terribly. I squeezed out puss and tons of just clear liquid. Now I am left with a hole in the center and raised area around the hole. I can squeeze it all day and it will never stop draining. It is very inflamed and so embarrassing . I went to my dermatologist to get an injection and they said they wanted to do a biopsy as they said it could potentially be basal cell skin cancer and they want to do a punch surgery. I just really don't think I have skin cancer..I'm a 29 year od female and wear spf 15-30 every day. I've never had a bad sunburn on my face, other than my nose and forehead a couple times. I am so depressed about this and don't know what to do. They keep moving out my appointment for the biopsy because my doctor keeps changing my appointment. Any thoughts or remedies to help with this in the meantime? I've tied proactive which actually helps with the rest of my skin, but this one spot nothing seems to help.
