What Causes Persistent Bright Red Bleeding With Abdominal Cramps Post Menopause?

default
Posted on Fri, 1 Jul 2016
Question: I am post menopause for about 3 years. 5 days ago, started to have light but consistent bleeding, bright red along with abdominal cramps. These are continuing and get slightly worse. Today, my thumb and first finger on each hand are numb at the tips. I'm otherwise healthy. Have doctors appointment in about 10 days. Should I seek immediate treatment!

Brief Answer:
Nothing urgent

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
I understand your anxiety about the issue.
There is nothing to that wants urgent management so you can very well take the routine visit after ten days.
It seems like either you have a uterine polyp or there is some problem at the level of cervix.
Both will be evident on examination and ultrasound.
All the best.
