What Causes Persistent Dizziness After Taking Meprate?

Question: I have taken meprete for preponing. I have dizziness and faintness. I took 2 doze and stopped it immediately however the dizziness persists strongly. What should I do?
Brief Answer:
its progesterone effect
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to hcm for an opinion,
YOU HAVE LIKELY EXPERIENCED increased progesterone effect which is commonly seen if you have been dehydrated and your water intake is low.
You should increase your water intake to 10-12 glasses a day to avoid these common side effects of progesterone.
Also if you intend to prepone then meprate would have to be continued for at least 5 days before a withdrawal can be initiated.

I took tablets on saturday 26th morning and night. Sunday 27th morning I got periods. It has been more than 24 hrs but I still have dizsziness and faintness even today. Will it subside soon or is there an alternative medication to subside?
Brief Answer:
Continue water and no medication required as such, rest
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If the dizziness is persistent then you must rest as the bleeding is also continuing and the progesterone withdrawal effect is coexistent. No medication would be advised for faintness as that is related to blood loss and decreased blood volume in your case. Please take 12-15 glasses of water today and at least 2 glasses of lemon water with salt and sugar to maintain electrolytes as well. That shall be enough to control your dizziness.
However if the bleeding is in excess then you may opt for antifibrinolytics after consultation with a gynaecologist to control the heavy bleed.
