recurrent for years no wheezing no cough headache no start with sore throat with pain bodyache no fever red near pharangitis no tonsils and then involve nose irritation hv nose polyp in both and watery eyes
Brief Answer:
Recurrent pharyngitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for the details,
Recurrent infection of the throat can be due to generalised inflammation of the throat or specific infection of the tonsils. Only examination of the throat when you are having an attack of sore throat will tell the difference between the 2. For this you have to see an ENT specialist.
If tonsil is the seat of recurrent infection then tonsillectomy can be considered if you are unable to tolerate the recurrent pain.
But if there is generalised infection of the pharynx (throat) then it should be managed medically with antibiotics as and when required.
To reduce the number of episodes remember to do warm salt water gargling 5 times daily and drink plenty of warm fluids. Avoid air conditioning and cold foods.
See an ENT specialist for further management.
