What Causes Pimple Like Bumps In Groin And Thigh Areas?
Question: My six year old daughter has several pimple like bumps that I noticed over 3 days ago and do not seem to be improving. They are in the groin and upper thigh areas. I first thought chiggers, but not sure about that. One pimple broke in the middle of the night and she had blood run down her leg. They do not itch and she doesn't touch them. Some are more swollen that others. The swollen ones have a white pimple like pus center. They are sensitive, but do not itch. Are these bug bites and how do I get rid of them?
Brief Answer:
Could be scabies or some bacterial infection

Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through the. Although it is hard to comment without examination, going by there description two probable causes strike me - scabies or some bacterial infection. I would suggest you to take her to a pediatrician and get it evaluated. Treatment will depend on the cause. For scabies, permethrin or certain other anti-scabies lotion needs to be applied neck downward all over the body at night and then scrubbed off with soap in the morning. For a bacterial infection, antibiotics might be essential. The doctor, after proper evaluation, will be able to point to the right direction.
