Diabetes/Vitamins deficiency/Anxiety/spine degenerative changes.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

If you would have presented to me as an outpatient,I would have told you that the symptoms of pins and needles, starting in hands and moving up the arms appears to be typical of length dependent peripheral neuropathy. Some of the common causes which need to be ruled out here are-
1)Diabetes
2)Vitamins deficiency
3)Cervical spine degenerative changes
However,10 days is a little short time and falls in the acute category, for which 'Anxiety' causing these symptoms can be a potential cause.
Please get the following investigations done-
1)Blood sugar(Fasting and post prandial)
2)Cervical spine X-Ray

Management plan-
Meanwhile, please start doing mental relaxation exercises/Yoga/meditation to reduce anxiety levels,if any,and observe for the improvement in symptoms.
Start taking methylcobalamin and calcium/vitamin D tablets.
PLEASE TAKE MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE ONLY.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have some follow-up queries,I shall be glad to answer else, please close the thread-rate it and write a review.
