What Causes Presence Of Blood In Stool?
Question: Hi last year i saw blood in my stool, and on toilet paper when cleaning. I went to doctor who sent me to specialist and i had colonoscopy which showed nothing wrong. But again couple of months ego noticed stool was red and it cleared after couple of days. This morning again went to toilet, when cleaning noticed red on toilet paper. Should i go back to doctor for more examinations. What could be possible causes for this? I have not noticed any other symptoms. Could particular food cause this? Have been eating cherries and had last night too.
Brief Answer:
This could be hemorrhoids.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have reviewed your information fully. This might be suggestive of a possible hemorrhoids. Did your doctor mention anything about this? There is no reason for you to rush to the doctor at this time. I will suggest that you increase your fiber, fruits and fluids intake so as to always maintain stool soft and easy to pass through the anus. this is because constipation can cause similar symptoms of blood on tissue paper.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
