What Causes Presence Of Red And White Blood Cells In Urine?

default
Posted on Sat, 27 Jun 2015
Question: hi, blood and white cells have been found in my urine, also I am urinating very frequently but with no pain or burning. I am not pregnant or post menopause or sexually active, so is this more likely to be cancer than a urine infection?

Brief Answer:
Symptoms may be due to UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

Your symptoms together with urine analysis may indicate urinary tract infection.

Evidence of white blood cells in the urine may suggest a urinary tract infection also if there is an inflammation blood can get into the urine. To be sure you can make a urine culture to find out which bacteria is present in your urine.

I suggest you to take the antibiotic as prescribed by your doctor and make urine analysis 10 days after you have completed your course of antibiotics.

In my opinion you do not have to be worry about cancer. Do you have any other symptoms like weight loss, visible blood in the urine. Do you smoke?

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
