What Causes Recurrent Twisting Of The Right Knee?

Question: Recurring "twisted" right knee. Inner knee just below patella very painful, feels unstable. Wearing "rocker bottom" shoes seems to help some. Saw orthopedist 6 months previously for same problem. Not satisfied. Told of deficient cartilage in general 25 years ago when raising 4 kids, working as school psychologist (rarely sitting or stopping all day), mowing yard and playing softball, tennis frequently. This MD (6 months ago) emphasized lack of cartilage, no particular recommendations. Saw many successes with PT when in my profession and willing to try it. Want to prevent worsening or recurrences. Only treatment at home: elevation when sitting, icing infrequently, naproxen sodium. Have arthritis in multiple joints but am very active, with dogs and grandkids and yard work/piano/fiddle to "keep busy" at 69. Suggestions?
Brief Answer:
MRI scan will be helpful
Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam
I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your query in detail.
In the absence of any trauma, the possibility of ligamentous or catilage abnormalities is high.
This can cause abnormal knee joint movements.
Accurate therapy can be designed based on MRI findings only.
Hence I request you to get an MRI scan.
In case if you have already got one, I request you to kindly upload the image of the same.
Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
