Brief Answer:
it is possible it relates to a bite

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Swelling, redness and itching are indicators of an inflammatory reaction, usually allergic.

It may be related to an insect bite or contact with any aspect of the tree or surrounding plants.

You can consider using an oral antihistamine. This would reduce the inflammatory response.
Examples are benadryl, claritine, zyrtec, allegra

If there is any pain then the use of an anti inflammatory pain killer such as ibuprofen or naproxen would also be appropriate.

In most cases, after the use of the anti histamine and anti inflammatory agent ( if needed), the reaction decreases unless you are severely allergic.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
