What Causes Redness Around Nose?

Question: my son has a red area on the end side of his nose, and has been sore to touch for quite a while. What do you think this may be and the treatment please?

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad. I have read your question completely, i understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.

This is a pretty common problem in wonters specially and results from inflammation of the nose tip.

This can be treated by simple warm compresses and ibupurfen thrice a day. This may take 3..4 days to get cured but your son shouldn't worry much about it. He shouldn't rub the area much tenderness will go as inflammation gets relieved. Simple Ibuprofen 200mg thrice a day will relieve pain as well as the inflammation.

If you can find Ibuprofen cream ..applying that will be of great help.
