Brief Answer:
Redness and fever

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

I see that none of the other doctors have picked up your question so far and this happens sometimes when there isn't enough information. Can you describe the red area? Is it tender? How large of an area? Can you upload some photos? We have an upload button on the right side of the page that you originally wrote your question. I think it says "Upload Reports".

I am wondering if you may have cellulitis. This is an infection of the deep soft tissues, and if the bacteria that causes this gets into your blood stream, it can cause a fever.

How high is your fever, and do you have any other symptoms?

Brief Answer:
Appears to be a large area of cellulitis.

Detailed Answer:
Yikes - that is a big infection. I am sorry that I was unable to respond until now. Please go in to the ER. You will need antibiotics and a CBC and possibly blood cultures because you must have a fever. Please do go in now as that is a large area that appears to be infected.
