General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi,
Flucloxacillin is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections, including cellulitis. Bleeding is not a common side effect of this medication. It is important to talk to your doctor if you are experiencing bleeding while taking flucloxacillin. They can determine if the bleeding is related to the medication or if there is another underlying issue.
It is also important to follow your doctor's instructions regarding the use of ibuprofen or any other pain medication. They may recommend using ibuprofen to help relieve inflammation and pain associated with cellulitis. However, you should not take ibuprofen without first consulting with your doctor, especially if you are experiencing bleeding.
Cellulitis can be a serious infection and it is important to follow your doctor's treatment plan closely. If you have any concerns or questions about your medication or symptoms, be sure to talk to your doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
