Question: I already described the problem. Hair retracting into the scalp. Various bumps covering scalp. Feel movement on top of scalp; also, a tightening. Feels as though something moving through gel on top of my head, down to my forehead.

Brief Answer:
May be ingrown hair, retinoids cream to clean dead skin, steroid cream for inflammation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is difficult to say what it is without examination, but based on the information, it may be a condition known as ingrown hair.

Anyone can get an ingrown hair. But the problem is more common in people who have very curly or coarse hair. Let me know if you fit this description.

The second possibility could be secondary bacterial infection. It is advisable to visit a doctor to rule out infection. If it isn't an infection, I would suggest the use of retinoids to clear dead skin and steroid cream to address inflammation. These are prescription based agents. Your local doctor will know about it.

Hope this information suffices. Let me know if you need any other specific detail.

Take care.
