What Causes Ringing In Ears?
Question: Doctor:
I had a case of the Flu/Cold (Took Night Quil/Day Quil too calm the symptoms and get some sleep) a few weeks ago that I can't seem to get rid of completely, and just as I thought I was over the Flu/Cold and started to feel better, my ears started to ring. When I stand up or go out for some exorcise the symptoms and the ringing in my ears decreases but doesn't go away. When I lay down the ringing increases. Is it possible that the Flu/Cold has not gone away completely? Suggestions?

Tinnitus is a symptom of inner ear involvement.
Viral infection is a common cause of inner ear involvement.
The infection that caused cold could have caused the inner ear issue also.
And you have not recovered completely from it.
I would advise you to consult your ENT doctor to check your ears for other causes of tinnitus.
