Based on your symptoms I would like to rule out cervical spondylosis & nerve compression.
Would you clarify a few things for me please?
*do you have any other medical issues or take any medications?
*how are your urine and stools?
*any digestion/stomach troubles?
*during these episodes, do you feel as if the rooms spins?
*do you have any vision disturbances?
*do you have any other symptoms like sweating, fever, stomach ache, loose stools, ringing in the ears?
*do you work at the computer or do any repetitive activity that uses your neck and arms?
I recommend :
- a physician consult
-x-rays of the cervical spine
- electrocardiogram (to check for any heart rhythm disturbances)
-blood tests (complete blood count, blood glucose levels, liver & kidney function tests, electrolytes, Thyroid stimulating hormone )
-a carotid doppler and CT scan of the brain if clinically indicated
- an ENT /orthopedic consult, based on clinical exam results
Based on these a diagnosis will be made.
When the space between the spinal bones (vertebrae) reduce, either due to age, posture, or certain activities that overuse the neck & arms, this can compress on the nerves that pass through th and can also impinge on the blood flow to the back of your brain and spine.
As you have a pace maker, It is possible that there may be heart rhythm disturbances which can compromise the circulation temporarily. This must be ruled out as well.
