Brief Answer:
Cramps due to spinal pathology.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
In my opinion severe leg cramps are due to your spinal pathology- possibly spinal canal stenosis.
Whit awaiting surgery you can try
1. Sleep with your face down.
2. Take muscle relaxants and pregabalin before going to bed.
All the best for surgery . Please feel free to ask any other question.
