I am Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX and I work as a Sr Consultant Dermatologist with a reputed group of Hospitals.
I have examined the picture that you have attached.
The rash seems to be matching closest to a viral infection caused by virus of Herpes family of viruses.
I noticed that there are few groups of small bumps tending to cluster and also having satellite lesions. This picture is the one that usually one encounters in most patients having such a problem with this group of viruses.
It would be really great if you could send a little more information about
1 Is the rash only on one side of the body?
2 Any symptoms prior to appearance of rash and after that?
3 any history of medication?
4 What is the distribution?
5 Possibly, one or more recent pictures
In the meantime, please adopt the following approach
1 Keep the area clean and well ventilated
2 Have rest and normal diet
3 watch for fever, and take some painkiller or antipyretic if needed
4 An antibiotic cream would be of help even if it finally turns out to be viral

For this infection, I put my patients on Acyclovir for at least five days in divided doses. Most patients receive about 4 gm per day.
For best response, I do add cream of the same name to be applied to skin lesions several times a day.
To prevent secondary bacterial infection, use of antibiotics by mouth is highly recommended.
Symptomatic relief from pain, fever, etc can be achieved by Paracetamol or Ibuprofen in doses that are advised by the doctor as an individual;s needs may vary widely.
Please follow all the precautions that I have listed previously as these will help you in getting back to normal quickly.
It can take up to 10 days for a significant relief. With best wishes for your early recovery.
