What Causes Skin Tag On The Inside Of Labia Majora?

Question: Hi there,
I had a routine check up with my gyn this week and she found a small piece of skin on the inside of my labia majora. She said it wasn't sure if it was warts or a skin tag and just to "keep an eye on it."
As you can imagine, I'm not entirely satisfied with that...
When I looked at it myself it is a small piece of skin like the skin tag I have on my neck, and the same pink colour as my labia. It also feels like a soft bump in that I can pull it slightly. I have since found a similar piece of skin on the opposite labia and I can feel one around my anus. I am quite overweight so I can't really bend to see the one near the anus.
There are no clusters, or lesions, it doesn't look like a cauliflower... It just looks like a pink small soft lump of skin.
Could it be warts? My doctor made me very nervous.

Brief Answer:
Benign skin tag.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The skin tag that you have near the labia is likely to be a benign harmless skin tag. Herpes usually presents with cluster of painful lesions. This is likely to be a benign skin tag. If there is no abnormal pigmentation around the area then no need to worry. In case it increases in size then local chemical cautery can help in removing it under the guidance of a dermatologist.
