What Causes Stiffness In Legs, Pain In Joints And Hip While Treating Thyroid?

Question: My mom is suffering from stiffness in her legs. She always complains about pain in her joints in hip area and in legs.
She is taking thyroid medication currently. We have tried many doctors in the past.
Please suggest. We are still not able to conclude what is the issue.

The pain in the joint in your mother's case is due to Hypothyroidism. Usually hypothyroidism is associated with the Rheumatoid arthritis.
Having a correct dosage of thyroid supplement with monitoring the levels of thyroid profile will reduce the pains in most of the cases.
I recommend you to consult a rheumatologist and physiotherapist who will guide about some muscle strengthening exercises. Implementing this exercises in daily routine with a healthy diet will help your mother.
